C12 Quantum Electronics develops reliable & application-specific quantum computers, to solve highly complex computing tasks, currently out of reach of even most powerful supercomputers.
Building a quantum computer still needs innovators ready to tackle exciting challenges. C12's founders are convinced that only a new material for the qubit will bring a technological breakthrough.
C12 Quantum Electronics uniquely uses carbon nanotubes as the fundamental building blocks of its quantum processor. This high-purity material minimizes errors, radically improves performance and reduces hardware overhead for fault-tolerant computing. Spin qubits coupled to a microwave resonator offer exciting possibilities for control, manipulation, and circuit architecture. The suspended isotopically pure 12C nanotube significantly improves stability by reducing sources of decoherence, such as charge noise, nuclear spin noise, and phonon relaxation. Leveraging well-established semiconductor techniques, carbon nanotubes hold great promise for scaling quantum computing, much like silicon in classical computing.
Founded in 2020, C12 Quantum Electronics is a fast-growing start-up that recently raised EUR 18 million in 2024 to further research in its own lab in the heart of Paris (Panthéon).
Your role in C12 Quantum Electronics
- You will be part of our Nanofabrication team who work on the fabrication of our semiconductor chips inside our cleanroom. You will assist them with their daily work. The tasks will include :
- Ensure cleanroom standard operation through regular monitoring and improvements (daily checks, supplies management, solvent management, etc.)
- Perform regular monitoring of the equipment and related facilities including routine maintenance.
- Coordinate with the Facility Manager for setting up facility requirements for new equipment (power, water, and liaising with suppliers)
- Manage gas bottles, including ordering, receiving, installing, and monitoring usage
- Assist in acquiring new equipment or custom parts of the equipment
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand requirements and provide technical support
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices for handling scientific equipment
Training about work in the cleanroom and procedures will be provided upon onboarding.
About you
- Bachelor's degree or technical certificate in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- You like to work with your hands and fix things
- Experience dealing with at least one of the facility systems: electrical network, water network, HVAC
- Previous experience of working in a cleanroom or laboratory is a plus
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Power point, Word)
- Good communication skills in English and French
