The Role
As a Backend Software Engineer at Kalipso, you'll join our small, high-delivery team focusing on your main area: backend, frontend, full stack, or data and AI. You'll build the core systems that major financial institutions depend on to accelerate their business and save millions a year.

What you will be doing:

• Build core features in your specialty - backend systems, intuitive frontends, data pipelines, or advanced AI

• We believe that every employee deserves to understand the problem first hand, hence, you will get the opportunity to meet our clients and build what they truly want

• Design and implement systems that handle sensitive confidential documents at scale

• Collaborate closely with founders and our tight-knit engineering team

• Write clean, maintainable code that meets the highest security and compliance standards

• Shape product direction based on real customer feedback

Who you are

• Proficient in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar modern languages

• Comfortable working with APIs, databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Bonus if you have experience with AI/ML, legal tech, or financial services

• Ideally have at least 2 years of experience, or can demonstrate strong skills in your area

• But most importantly, you are someone who:

  • Gets stuff done and understands that building transformative compliance tech requires dedication and hard work

  • Proactively solves the most critical problems facing our banking clients

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where you're building solutions that didn't exist before
